Rustic Furniture Showroom in Hampshire

Interior Decor and Furniture shop

The Rustic Picture Frame Company

For 16 years or so I’ve been making my range of home decor products out of authentic reclaimed wood, I started with Rusticana Interiors and spent a number of years exhibiting at markets and county shows all over the south.
After 5 years of trading in a gazebo which was not ideal for my heavy and awkward to pack items I bought and converted my 7.5 tonne wooden horsebox lorry ‘Maude’,
Maude and I travelled all over the place attending street markets and shows, we had some amazing times although often problematic due to her size and age!
You’ll find images of Maude on my Instagram page if you look back over the posts, she was a fantastic setting for my work and I loved her very much, unfortunately though with more people buying online instead of on the high street or at events Maude had to be rehomed and my business went online.
I now have two websites which some of you may have noticed and wondered why!
Rusticana Interiors is my baby and it’s where I started, it’s how past customers find me, although it could do with a facelift it does its job.
The second website I have is The Rustic Picture Frame Company, It’s easier for customers to navigate and less fussy.
Both the websites do and sell the same thing.
Although I no longer attend the shows and markets I do have a showroom in Dunbridge Hampshire that I share with my partner Matt from www.blackstone-chalk.co.uk
It’s rammed full of Matt’s rustic furniture and all of my picture frames and home decor items, we are open daily so please do pop over if you’re in the area.

Reclaimed wood & me!

I’ve been working with reclaimed timber for the last 16 years, having spent over a decade restoring architectural items in a busy workshop I have gone on to run my Picture Frame business which incorporates my love of authentic reclaimed wood.

All of the timber I use for my Picture Frames and home decor products is old, It’s battered, has imperfections, and has signs of its past life, I leave it as it is mostly except for giving it a gentle clean and wax and treating it for any woodworm etc.

I make any size Picture Frame required, From tiny little photo frames to huge statement piece frames that are to hang in commercial spaces.

No two piece’s are ever the same, I do my best to replicate items that have sold or when multiples are needed, there will always be inconsistencies visible though which keep things slightly more interesting than everything looking the same.

If you would like some more info regarding a custom made picture frame or an item that is on my website then please get in touch, If you are in the Romsey area then we have a showroom which is open daily from 10 am, you are more than welcome to pop over and have a browse.

Custom made Picture Frames and Gifts

With Christmas only a couple of months away it’s now time to start getting your custom made picture frames ordered.
I usually have a two week time span when making a bespoke picture frame, but approaching Christmas the wait will get longer, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
For website sales I’d recommend placing your order at least a week before the 23rd December to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
Our showroom is open daily, up till 7pm on Christmas eve.
I share the showroom with my partner Matt from Blackstone Chalk Furniture
And Gina from Wildlife Art on Wood
Our stock is constantly changing and we’re all happy to take on commissions.
Gina has a range of Christmas tree decorations available and Matt has his usual rustic Door stops and chopping boards that make great gifts.
The showroom is open daily from 10am til late, so if you’re in the area (Romsey) do pop in.

Custom Picture Frames UK

I make to order any size picture frame or Mirror in your choice of reclaimed timber.
Leadtime for larger picture frames is usually 2 weeks, for smaller frames I can get ready alot sooner.
Our Showroom is open daily in Dunbridge, Hampshire, just outside of Romsey.
Please get in touch with any requests.

Driftwood Picture Frame sent to Ireland

This large Driftwood Picture Frame was commissioned by a customer in Dublin.

I used reclaimed sea defence timber that was being replaced at Bournemouth’s beach for this frame, it has a great weathered grey patina that has developed over decades after being battered by the sea and weather.

I’m constantly making new stock so keep an eye on my website if you’re looking for a rustic picture frame, or get in touch if you would like me to quote you for a custom made frame.

Amazing Spaces!

During the summer of 2022 my partner and I converted an old wooden boat that was saved from being scrapped.
The TV programme George Clarkes Amazing Spaces filmed the work we did over a 6 mnth period which nearly killed us!!
Tonight it’s on Channel 4 at 8pm, The Mooph!
Matt, my partner from Blackstone Chalk Furniture was fimed, I don’t like cameras so I kept away!
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve managed to achieve on a almost non existent budget, and only using authentic reclaimed materials, no scaffold boards or pallet wood!
Take a look at The Moopphs Instagram page to see the before and after photo’s, or watch it tonight on Channel 4 or catch up.
