Bespoke Oak Picture Frame

I have been working on a Bespoke Picture Frame for a regular customer in Scotland.

Susannah wanted a frame similar to a previous one I made out of Reclaimed Oak.  I have used some beautiful rustic, salvaged floor boards with just the right amount of character and patina to them.

All my work is left as natural as possible!  I never sand the face of any of the Reclaimed Wood I use. This is because it will strip any age and Patina away. Or in other words I don’t want the wood to lose any of its natural character and appeal.

I hand buff it clean and treat it for any signs of woodworm.  Then finish it with a coat or two of a clear Bee's wax.
